Complex Communication Needs

Students with complex communication needs (CCN) require dedicated support to effectively participate in education, engage in school activities, and prepare for their future. These students may experience difficulties understanding speech, using speech effectively, or may have little to no speech capabilities. Communication is fundamental to learning, expressing knowledge, building relationships, and participating fully in school life. Through appropriate support and the implementation of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) methods, we can ensure these students develop their communicative competence, engage meaningfully with their peers, and access the full spectrum of educational opportunities.
